    @FM897 wise words.

  5. FM897 says:

All I know is that we’re not going to “conquer” depression and anxiety with a bunch of “dietary supplements,” which may be more natural then psychotropic medications, but are a far cry from natural.

  6. FM897 says:

I will say that a few weeks after I stopped eating animal products, my frequent bouts of depression virtually disappeared and my anxiety decreased dramatically. I’m not just saying that in a pathetic attempt to spread some “liberal, new-age, vegan” agenda. I’m relaying this information because it really worked for me and I’ve never felt better.

This is one of the most important video/channel I have come across! As always good info!

  8. nielsz1972 says:

    Hi,
Are the supplements helpfull for people with GAD(generalized anxiety disorder) ?

  9. sglendye says:

Any tips for emotional eating and overeating? I want to eat better but can’t control my appetitie, don’t want to take adderall or celexa…

  10. nielsz1972 says:

I’m an oversensetive person. So what should I eat ?

  11. mikefirth65 says:

In fact depression and mental illness has been with us for thousands of years across all races and cultures.

  12. xMarucsFenixX says:

My depression and like suicide thoughts goes on and off a few times a day and I often have trouble sleeping in the night. I´m a little introverted but I don´t like stress. I have had suicide thoughts on and off for more than 5 years.

  13. tranquil87 says:

@FM897 This argument is false. Yes, the meat and dairy eaters eat a lot of protein, but since the quality of the food itself is terrible and coming from factory-farmed animals– the proper AMINO ACIDS (not proteins!) required for optimal brain function are simply not there in large enough quantities.

But it is also true that it’s not the _only_ issue, but you make it sound like it is not an issue at all, which is not an informed opinion at all.

  14. tranquil87 says:

@FM897 Please, write a book on your thesis on how to conquer depression in a more natural way, and show us data of its superiority to natural supplements. Nobody is forcing you to believe this information, but it is life saving to many people, so don’t try to discourage people from trying it.

  15. FM897 says:

@tranquil87 There have already been books written about how our diet affects our mood. And please, provide some data showing that taking “natural supplements” is the answer for clinical depression. The idea that so many people are depressed due to a lack of protein is absolutely preposterous. I do believe that we are suffering from nutritional inferiority but it has nothing to do with protein. The average person eats far too much protein, which actually causes major health problems.

  16. FM897 says:

@tranquil87 Read “The China Study” by T. Colin Campbell and “Diet for a New America” by John Robbins sometime.

  17. tranquil87 says:

@FM897 Again, that’s not the issue I’m bringing here. The issue is that those particular non-essential amino acids are missing from even the conventional high protein foods, since they are poor quality animal products, coming from grainfed animals who aren’t treated properly. As for providing proof, it is extremely easy to do. “Several double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of 5-HTP in the treatment of depression”, this is taken from Wikipedia.

  18. tranquil87 says:

@tranquil87 from which you can find the studies in themselves. I personally don’t give a crap about the studies done on it, because it has cured my depression completely and that’s enough for me to advocate it.

I’ve read the China Study. It’s not a good source to get any real info from. Its studies are only based on cooked, conventional factory-farmed animal products, not real food. I became a raw vegan because of that book and while I healed some conditions, my health suffered long-term.

  19. FletcherHabit says:

Its important to always remember that depression and anxiety are symptoms NOT diseases/disorders in and of themselves.

Through knowledge and experience wisdom is gained slowly .Every person is unique as is their physiology. Enjoy the journey towards wellness

  20. Remsadie says:

    thank you.

  21. lilyaz206 says:

@FM897 Maybe it’s also because the meat and dairy people are consuming come from factories where they are pumped with hormones, fed the wrong kind of fodder and simply ill. that can’t be healthy for our body and brain. they should eat a balance of organic veggies and fruit, and only meat from FARMS not factories.

  22. TheOnlyGibson says:

could you be 2 of them?

  23. Guitarrosaurusrex says:

@SOCRATES012 You speak philosophical gobbledy gook…. depression and anxiety are not the same things as mourning and the “right levels” of stress.

  24. SOCRATES012 says:

@Guitarrosaurusrex and you care too much :)
