What will I be prescribed for panic attacks?

I will see my doctor this week about panic attacks that I have on a daily basis. I’m 14, if that changes anything. What do you think he will prescribe me at my age?

It’s hard to say for sure, as there are many, many treatments for panic attacks. It could be Xanax, an antidepressant like Prozac, or no drugs at all but instead counseling or therapy. But don’t worry — just do whatever the doctor says and if it doesn’t seem to help, keep going back until you find something that does.
Good luck and hang in there!
Well, if he is a savvy doctor, he will refer you to a mental health clinic where you can take classes that teach you how to deal with panic attacks without need for medication….I’ve dealt with panic disorder now for thirty years, just using the skills I learned in just such a class.
Probably Zoloft or an anti-anxiety thing like Antivert or something like that. But Zoloft seems to be the drug of choice for so many things. Someone in my family had panic attacks and now takes Zoloft and they’ve gone away.
Probably paxil or zoloft. They both are non habit forming and take a little while to start working. I have panic attacks and I take xanax because mine were so severe that nothing helped. Best of luck!
Propranolol, or xanax. Propranolol is a low-dose blood pressure pill that keeps your heart from racing. Xanax is a tranquilizer.
youll be given an anti anxiety medicine.
klonopin is the best for panic because it works the fastest. you can take it as needed. they even make it in a slow melt for your tongue.
xanax is good but a lot of doctors are hesitant to prescribe because of the high chance of addiction.
Perhaps Ativan?
