Although there is no clear link between Depression and Anxiety with IBD, most people suffering from a chronic illness, do experience symptoms of depression. During various stages of my own journey, I would experience mild forms of anxiousness, depression, and panic. It did effect how I coped with the illness. Everybody has moments of darkness. Working through it in the healthiest of ways is key.

Well said, Nadia!
I have crohns and I developed panic attacks and anxiety from isolating myself just like you said. I guess it’s a lot more common than I thought. Thanks for posting this video. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one that went through that.
I defiantly noticed that when I have more anxiety my ileostomy puts out way more, when I’m sleeping it slows down somewhat. Before the most recent surgery, before I have the ileostomy, the same would happen, I would be running back and forth to the bathroom. Thanks for posting this!
